Maya & Bella

Maya and Bella two dogs ages 6 and 4 were found living in deplorable conditions after their owner was evicted and left them behind. They were found on a porch - with no AC in hot days and no heat on cold days, living in their own urine, hungry, and competing for food and attention.  I saw a post that a Good Samaritan had taken them into her car, then to a motel.  It's usually easier to find a rescue if at least some basic vetting is done. Through my community medical fund, they both got initial exams. One had a large growth on the paw, like a skin tag, that the vet suspected was benign but needed removal and biopsy, one had some dental issues, one needed a spay, and they both had loose stool with blood in it. Through the fund, they got meds for diarrhea, basic shots, GI sensitive food and much overdue nail trims.  I helped post their photos on FB groups - and a rescuer from Because4Paws saw them and stepped up to help! I posted for a ride for them - and got many great offers and assitance. Not long after going into rescue care, the dental issues got addressed, skin tag removed (benign), spay took place and they each got adopted into wonderful homes!
