Millie

We think Millie was originally a stray from New Haven, but ended up in Hartford. She somehow injured her front paw very badly, to the point where it required partial amputation through my Community Medical Fund.  Despite her unstable past and serious injury, Millie could adjust quickly to any new setting and remained incredibly friendly, sweet, and loving with an adorable “chirp”.  She had beautiful markings, I’d describe as dilute tabby. She required a long bandage on the paw, and frequent re-checks. She also was spayed and fully vetted through the Fund. Protectors of Animals was eager to take her once she healed, which she did nicely, safe in the loving care of the Kitty Kat Ranch (becoming especially attached to one of the children there). The part of the paw that needed amputation was also involved in weight bearing, but Millie learned quickly to work around it and adjust! I nicknamed her “Millie the Resilient”.  Once it became evident how incredibly friendly Millie was, she went to  Marcy’s Cat Cafe in Glastonbury, connected with Protectors of Animals.  She was barely there a few days before she was their 61st adoption, into a loving family with children!
